She plans to attend Southeastern Illinois College after graduating before transferring to a university, hoping to major in child psychology.

Prior to attending the farm show, Junior Grace Trammel placed first in her category at the Section 25 Proficiency contest. Her area was Specialty Crop Production - Placement, and her record book was journaled on her employment at Peony Hill Farm in Harrisburg. Agricultural Proficiency awards are based on a member’s Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). They recognize individual skills and career-based competencies developed through multiple years of participation in Immersion type SAE projects. To be eligible to compete for an agricultural proficiency award SAEs must be agricultural in nature, fit into at least one nationally recognized agriculture, food and natural resource (AFNR) pathway and meet the description of the award area in which they apply.
