As the national championship game approached, excitement grew around Harrisburg High School as students debated which team would come out on top when the Indiana Hoosiers faced the Miami Hurricanes.
The matchup featured two strong teams and quickly became a popular topic of discussion among students.
Indiana entered the game known for its disciplined defense and balanced offense. Miami, on the other hand, brought speed, athleticism and explosive playmakers, particularly on the defensive line. Students across HHS shared their predictions and reasons for supporting each team.
In the end, Indiana came out on top by controlling the pace of the game and executing in key moments. The contest remained close early, but Indiana’s defense limited Miami’s big plays and forced several crucial stops in the second half.
Offensively, Indiana relied on balanced drives and strong clock management to wear down Miami and keep its offense off the field. A late scoring drive helped secure the win and showed the Hoosiers’ composure under pressure.
Junior Braxton Murphy said Indiana’s discipline played a major role in the victory.
“Indiana won because they stayed disciplined the entire game,” Murphy said. “They didn’t panic when it was close, and they played their style of football from start to finish.”
Junior Laban Phelps agreed, pointing to the defensive performance.
“Indiana’s defense was the difference,” Phelps said. “They shut down Miami’s big plays and made them work for every yard, which really wore them out.”
Junior Burke Wilson also credited preparation for the win.
“Indiana just looked more prepared,” Wilson said. “They executed better in big moments, and that’s why they came out on top.”
Indiana’s championship victory highlighted the team’s discipline and determination throughout the season. By executing its game plan and performing in key moments, the Hoosiers secured a memorable national title that fans will remember for years to come.
