Senior Ali Hankins hears that she has been voted queen as her the other candidates, Kameron Adams, Paige Potts, Mary Beth Winkleman and Avery Woolard look on.

Every year during the time of Homecoming, HHS students  vote  on who they want to be Homecoming Queen and Mr. Bulldog. Senior Ali Hankins was chosen as this year’s Homecoming Queen.

“I was not expecting to get elected Queen but I am super honored!” Hankins said.

She added that she just loves all the friends she has made throughout her four years attending high school.

Hankins said she didn’t feel much pressure at all during the competition.

“I just continued to enjoy the week, be myself and have fun with all of my friends,” Hankins said. “I am thankful for getting this experience and making some of the best memories from my high school years.”

In addition to being Homecoming queen,  Hankins is a drum major for the band, dances at Touch of Class Dance Studio and recently joined the basketball cheer squad.

“I always thought it would be fun, but with being drum major it would not work out during football season because that’s when we compete and have field show performances.” Hankins said.

Hankins added that she was just really excited for Homecoming week with all of her friends in general.

“I feel honored that my peers voted for me,” Hankins said.
